The Shoebox Project: IDology’s Latest Philanthropy Initiative

IDology’s latest philanthropy initiative focused on helping the many homeless women and children in the Atlanta area, where IDology calls home. Today, there are more than 50,000 homeless women and children in metro Atlanta alone. Because of this, United Way of Atlanta began the Shoebox Project as a way to distribute much needed personal items to those in need. This year, the Shoebox Project celebrates its10th Anniversary!

IDology employees each took a box home and filled it with a variety of basic personal items which can go a long way for homeless women and children. Items such as hand towels, antibiotic ointment, socks, sanitary items, ponchos, prepaid cards, deodorant, soap, toothpaste, sun protector, adhesive bandages and more. The campaign ran from March 1 to May 1, 2015. At the end of the campaign, IDology collected the boxes, wrapped them and delivered them to the Shoebox Project. These boxes were then distributed to their recipients on Mother’s Day.

IDology is proud to support such a worthy cause. To learn more about the United Way and how you can get involved, go to: www.unitedwayatlanta.org/help-the-cause/2015-shoebox-project/. And make sure to check out some photos of the IDology Shoeboxes!
